DISCOVER SINEU MARKET - MALLORCA´S MOST TRADITIONAL AND LIVELY WEEKLY FAIR

Every Wednesday, the historic town of Sineu comes alive with one of Mallorca’s largest and most beloved markets. Held from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, this bustling event draws thousands to Es Fossar Square, Es Mercadal Square, and the charming streets of the old town. Unique among Mallorcan markets, Sineu is the only one to feature live farm animals weekly, offering a true glimpse into the island’s rural heritage. Don’t miss the chance to explore the parish church of Santa María, admire the old windmills, and enjoy a traditional Mallorcan meal while you're there.

What: This is one of the largest and most popular markets in Mallorca and the only one that showcases farm animals on a weekly basis.


Where: Thousands of people stroll through Es Fossar Square, Es Mercadal Square, and the streets of the old town to explore the wide variety of stalls in the market.


When: Held every Wednesday from 8 am to 2 pm


Fun to know: The biggest market is the May fair, held on the first Sunday of this month. Two other fairs were held annually, the August fair on the third Sunday of the month, and the Sant Tomàs fair at the end of December.


We recommend: Exploring the historic center, the parish church of Santa María de Sineu, and the numerous windmills that reveal the town's agricultural past. Pair your visit with a delicious Mallorcan meal.
